Iron Oxside is an RPG for 3-5 players plus a GM.

You are an Automaton eking out an existence among others like yourself from among the ruins of a corroded planet. The gods who created you died off long ago, leaving their children behind in the ruined remains. The Wars have ended, and the units still operating are left to rebuild, both society and themselves.

As an automaton, you are made of Parts that combine to make your Whole, and an operation system making it all tick. Your stats are determined by the parts you have attached, and your abilities are the sum of the total hoarded gear you’ve found throughout your existence.

- Quick character creation, deep gear-based character progression
- Simple and fast d20 roll-under resolution mechanic
- Extensive list of parts and gear to let you build the robot of your dreams
- Rules for both physical and rhetorical combat
- Robot personalities and reputation: are you a vain part-polisher, a scholar of the old world, or a would-be hero to the unrepaired?
- Flexible, free-form part modification: create the arm or head of your dreams

This game is currently in playtesting. Rules and formatting are subject to change, balance may be significantly altered, new art and content will be added over time, but the game will always be available for free. I'm anticipating two to three more major releases before final publication, plus other releases as the game is playtested.

Future content plans:
- Additional mechanics
- Expansions to the GM chapter with further advice on running the game, making adventures and creating new gear
- A ready-to-play introductory adventure
- New parts and other gear
- improved character sheets
